"The Bangor Daily News [Bangor, Maine]," 15 Jul y 1989, p. 10: "Fred Joseph Bowden, Sr., 89, died July 14, 1989 in Bucksport at the home of his son, Carroll, with whom he had resided for the last year. He was born in Orrington June 19, 1900, the son of Fred and Clara (Billington) Bowden. Mr. Bowden had done farming in Orrington and Monroe and later worked as a horse trader and then as a meat cutter. He also worked with his son at Fred Bowden Sales and Service of Orrington. Surviving are three sons, James Bowden of Santa Maria, Calif., Fred Bowden, Jr. of Orrington and Carroll Bowden of Bucksport. Two daughters, Marilyn Blood of Orland and Clara Rolerson of Morrill; 23 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren one great-great-grandson, several nieces, nephews and cousins. Mr, Bowden was predeceased by a daughter, Ernestine Ames; and three wives, Joyce, Florence and Nettie."

Joseph's obituary in "The Arlington Times" 6 April 2005, p. B6: "He was born on June 22, 1920, in Stuart, Nebraska, to Byron and Susan Arthur Heichel, the sixth of seven children. His early life was spent in various states of the Mid-West. He had a wonderful life with his family and had many tales of adventure. When he was 17, his family moved to Western Washington where he graduated from Mt. Vernon High School in 1939. He attended Skagit Valley College. He was working at Boeing when called by his country to serve in World War II. He chose to join the Army Air Force, the same as his other two brothers. In the Air Force he was promoted to Staff Sergeant. While flying as a crewman on a B17, on December 31, 1944, he was shot down over Nazi Germany, was severely wounded and became a Nazi prisoner of war. His deliverance from Nazi Germany was one miracle after another. He was blessed to have praying parents who passed their faith on to their son.
"Upon honorable discharge from the Army Air Force, he met the queen of his life, his loving wife, Lois Jean Culp. They were married on December 1, 1949. After their
marriage, they settled at what is now known as Heichel's Corner in Stanwood, Washington. They spent 55 happy years of marriage on the Sunday Lake Road.
"Joe is survived by the love of his life, wife, Lois; two sons, Jerry (Patty), Dan (Teri); two daughters, Barbara (Doug) Jacobs-meyer, and JoAnn Heichel; seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. In addition to his immediate family, he is survived by his brothers, Byron (Julia) and John Rod (Virginia) Heichel; his sister, Maurine (Lowell) Reed; brother-in-law John Surabian; and many nieces and nephews, whom he dearly loved.
"There will be viewing from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Thursday, March 31, and Friday, April 01, at Gilbertson Funeral Home, Stanwood. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, April 2, at Freeborn Lutheran Church, Stanwood, Washington. A private Graveside Service was held at the Arlington Cemetery."

On Robert's death in 1343 she reigned and is strongly suspected of arranging the assissination of her husband in 1345. Joanna recognized Clement VII as pope, but the party of the other pretender to the papacy won out and she was deposed in favor of Prince Charles of Durazzo (brought up at the Hungarian court). "Bangor Daily News [ Bangor, Maine], 25 Septembr 2008": Cherryfield and Bucksport - Walter Rayford Leach, 96, passed away July 17, 2007, at Narraguagus Bay Health Care Facility, Milbridge, after a brief illness. He was born Jan. 24, 1911, in Penobscot, the son of the late W. Scott Leach and Mercy (Torrey) Leach. Walter grew up on a farm and worked on the farm milking cows, cutting hay, and raking blueberries. He graduated from Clark High School, Penobscot, in 1928. In 1932, he graduated from the University of Maine in Orono and received his masters degree in education in 1959. Walter served as principal and worked as basketball and baseball coach at Clark High School, Penobscot; Milbridge High School; Potter Academy, Sebago; and Corrina Union Academy. He also served as principal at Calais Memorial High School. Walter served as superintendent of schools at Union 40, which included New Sharon. He also served as superintendent in Sullivan. During the summer breaks from teaching and serving as principal, Walter worked for Jasper Wyman and Sons as a tester of products and supervisor of the factory during the summers. After his retirement from education in 1969, he worked at a vegetable and berry farm in Bucksport during the summer and also worked at H&R Block doing taxes from 1970 to 1988. While in education, he belonged to several organizations including the Executive Committee Association, Maine Principals Association, and National Education Association, where he served as a delegate to conventions in Boston, Atlantic City, Chicago, and Seattle. Walter was also a Mason since 1938 and a past member of the Farmington Rotary Club. Walter married his first wife, Madeline Pearl Scott, in 1934. Madeline passed away in 1967. He married Georgie (Gross) Chasse, in 1968. Georgie passed away in 1986. Walter was also predeceased by a son, Arlyn Leach, in 1998; a brother, Arthur Leach; and a sister, Rilla Moore. He is survived by a son, Wayne R. Leach and wife, Pauline, of Winslow; stepsons, Fred and wife, Mickey Chasse, of South Bristol, John Chasse and wife, Marilee, of Virginia, and Robert Chasse and wife, Earline, of Bucksport; longtime companion, Lorena Colbeth of Cherryfield; her son, Fulton Colbeth and wife, Nedra, of Cherryfield; Arlyns wife, Elizabeth Leach, of New Hampshire; grandchildren, Craig Leach, Clark Leach, Christopher Leach, Nathan Leach, Kenneth Leach, David Leach, Kimberly Colbeth, Kathy Colbeth, Thomas Colbeth, Anthony Small, and Timothy Small; many great-grand-children, nieces and nephews.
