[5874] John received lands, titles and Dudley Castle through his wife at the death of her brother, John de Somery, without issue. John was a knight in the retinue of his brother-in-law; he later alienated the castle and manor of Dudley to Hugh le Despencer by deed 19 Oct 1325, but this grant (extorted from him by force while he was imprisoned) was cancelled in 1327 on the accession of Edward III, and the property was restored to the Sutton Dudleys. In addition to John their heir, they had Margaret who married Roger Hilary.
[24189] Jacob and Susannah also had George Adam Frack (b. 5 June 1749, d. in 1765) and Heinrich Frack (b. 1751, d. before 1806). Jacob arrived in Philadelphia on the ship "Pleasant" (James Morris - Master) in Oct 11, 1732 from the Palatinate (Germany), listed as age 40 and sick and name was spelled Froch; the ship sailed from Rotterdam. - "The Frocks of Maryland Including Their Roots in Pennsylvania," Richard Ott (November 1996). Ancestry.com offers: "Frack Name Meaning - German: probably a nickname for a greedy, stingy person, from Middle Low German vrak greedy, stingy, or for an invalid, from Middle Low German vrak damaged, useless; also used as a derogatory nickname."
