"Leader-Telegram [Eau Claire, Wisconsin], 13 July 1951," p. 3: "Funeral services for Fred Anderson. 70, who died at the Plum City hospital Tuesday, will be held here today. Services will be conducted at the Little Plum Lutheran church with burial in the church cemetery. Mr. Anderson, a painter. had been a patient In the hospital for about a year. He was born at Ella, Wis., and lived on a farm there until his wife, the former Esther Wahlund died. He Is survived by seven children, three brothers, and one sister, all of the Ella community."

This word was distinguished from Bowyer, which denoted a maker or seller of the articles. It is possible that in some cases the surname referred originally to someone who untangled wool with a bow. This process, which originated in Italy, became quite common in England in the 13th century. The vibrating string of a bow was worked into a pile of tangled wool, where its rapid vibrations separated the fibers, while still leaving them sufficiently entwined to produce a fine, soft yarn when spun. Americanized form of German Baumann (see Bauer) or the Dutch cognate Bouman."

She died on May 16, 1857, having lived a long life of 82 years." Find A Grave Memorial 81487250 offers: "Keziah was the daughter of Nathaniel Henderson (1739-1803) and Rebecca Thornton (1743-1805). She married Thomas Cook 05 Sep 1792 in Bush River MM, Newberry County, South Carolina. Thomas and Keziah were Friends (Quakers). Thomas and his family moved to Warren County, Ohio in 1805 and joined the Miami Monthly Meeting there. In 1810 they requested a transfer to the White Water Monthly Meeting. They settled in Vermilion County, Illinois in 1824, where Thomas remained the rest of his life. He was a leading member of the Society of Friends and was noted for his many social and Christian virtues. In Vermilion County they were members of the Vermilion MM. Thomas and Keziah's children: 1.
