Conners, which occurred at his home on Mt. Desert street. He had been a sufferer from a complication of diseases and had been confined to the house the greater part of the past two years. He was seventy-five years, eight months and twenty days old. He was one of Bar Harbor's best known and honored business men, having been closely connected with the growth of the town for over fifty years, having come here when a boy from Cherryfield. He was connected with his brother under the firm name of Conners Brothers in a very successful business for over thirty years, selling out to Fifield & Joy three years ago. He has always been closely associated in whatever was best for Bar Harbor, being a member of the Knight Templars and Shriners, Congregational church and G. A. R. He has made his home in practically the same spot ever since becoming a citizen of the town of Eden, having lived at first in the small Kittredge house directly opposite his late residence. Bar Harbor is surely a deep loser in the passing away of such a respected citizen. He leaves a wife who is critically ill at her home, a son Harry who was living with him at the time of his death, another son Harvey of Seal Harbor, a sister, Mrs. Nathan Salisbury of Bar Harbor, a brother, Lewis of Boston; and six grandchildren." He married Josephine Mildred Hutchings on February 11, 1865, in Steuben, Maine. They had one [known] child during their marriage. He died on January 1, 1917, in Bar Harbor, Maine, having lived a long life of 76 years. Josephine Mildred Hutchings was born on December 6, 1841, in Steuben, Maine. . . . . She died on January 3, 1917, in Bar Harbor, Maine, having lived a long life of 75 years."

Haskell, age 86, loving father, grandfather and brother passed away peacefully on January 26, 2021 at the Lowell General Hospital, Saints Campus, following a brief illness. He was the beloved husband of the late Jeannine G. (Boucher) Haskell, who passed away in 2018. Charlie was born on February 6, 1934, in Garland, Maine, a son of the late Arthur and Marion (Cunningham) Haskell. He proudly served with the U.S. Army and the U.S. Army Reserves, and was the recipient of the National Defense Service Medal and the Sharpshooter Badge (Carbine). Prior to his retirement, Charlie worked tirelessly for Raytheon of Tewksbury as an electrician for nearly 40 years. In his younger years he loved to hunt ,fish and camp with his family. Charlie is survived by a loving daughter, Melissa Lopes and her husband, Chris, and grandchildren, Timothy and Jessica Lopes, all of Hudson, NH; and daughter, Michele Haskell. Charles is also survived by two sisters, Caroline Clemente of Benton, Maine, and Madeline Petrie of Dover-Foxcroft, Maine; as well as one brother, Merle Haskell of Garland, Maine; and countless nieces and nephews."

Nov. 15, 1899, the daughter of Lemeul and Grace (Tainter) Lord. Mrs. Bowden taught in the Hermon schools for many years. She retired in 1970 as head teacher at the Eastern Maine Friends of the Retarded. She was a member of the Retired Teacher's Association, a 60-year member of the Hammond Street Congregational Church, a life member of the Bangor Grange, a member of the Literacy Volunteers, and the Bangor Senior Citizens Club. Surviving are one daughter, Nina Hanson of Bangor; two sons, Irving L. Bowden, Jr. of Hampden and Gordon L. Bowden of Brewer; 11 grandchildren 12 greatgrandchildren Mrs Bowden was predeceased by her husband, Irving L. Bowden, in 1972, and a daughter, Shirlie Knight, in 1979." Grace is daughter of Lemuel James Lord (1874-1934) & Grace Evelyn Tainter (1879-1965; m. 19 June 1896 in Winterport, MME).

Mrs. Coder had been operated on for the dlsease at Bellevue hospital in Muscatine during the early spring, but the illness was of too aggravated a nature to be cured and the relief was but temporary. The deceased woman had reached her forty-nlnth milestone in life. She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Milton Paulin, of Grandview, she having been born and reared at the latter place. To survive her, there are her husband and five children - James and Lonnie, Misses Vinnie attd Esther: and Mrs. Alta Rasely, all of Letts. Mrs. Coder was a past president of the Louisa and Muscatine county assembly of Rebekah lodges and would have presided at the recent session in Muscatine if her health had permitted."
