(2) ca. 1853 in Cook Co., IL Carlotte Pollard. "The Inter Ocean [Chicago, Illinois], 26 January 1903," p. 2: "Robert B. Breese, who died Saturday at the residence of his son, Robert B. Breese. Jr., 5946 Normal avenue, had been a resident of Chicago since 1837. Born in England, Oct. 9, 1818, Mr. Breese emigrated to Canada when 17 years of age, but stayed there for only a short time. He came to Chicago by way of the lakes in 1837, when the city was but a straggling collection of log huts, and lived here continuously until his death. His first log cabin was located at a point near what is now the business center of the city. Mr. Breese was for years a prominent figure at old settlers' picnics, and had a large acquaintance among the pioneers of the city. He is survived by four children, twelve grandchildren, and fifteen great-grandchildren."

[43537] Find A Grave memorial 20991559 offers: "Christian Hursh III was the son of Christian Hursh (1776-1823) and Frances or Fanny Herr (1774-1867). He was the second of nine children. He was married May 26, 1836 in Wayne County to Anna Nancy Martin. In 1840 Christian Hursh was a resident of Green Township, Wayne County, Ohio. At time of death Christian was age 63 years and 8 days. Herald of Truth, June 1866, Volume III, No. 6, page 52: 'On the 14th of April, in Wayne Co., Ohio, Bro. Christian Hursh, aged 63 years and 8 days. He was buried on the 16th. He leaves a wife and eight children to mourn their loss. Funeral addresses were delivered by Pre.____Shoemaker, a minister of the Tunker Brethren, in English at the house of mourning, and by Bro. Henry Beery in German at the meeting-house. Bro. Hursh gradually wasted away with a lingering disease. I visited him in February. He seemed to bear patiently the afflicting hand of Providence, manifesting a desire to reach that better Country, and requested me also to pray for him. We hope his sufferings are ended, and that he is now resting from his labors. - J.M. Brenneman'."
