Douglass, was 47. She married Fred Dunbar on 13 December 1884, in Castine, Hancock, Maine, United States. They were the parents of at least 4 sons and 1 daughter. She lived in Hancock, Maine, United States in 1920. She died in 1937, in Brockton, Plymouth, Massachusetts, United States, at the age of 69, and was buried in Castine Cemetery, Castine, Hancock, Maine, United States." Fred r. Wardwell Point, Penobscot, Hancock Co., ME. The schooner "Fred Dunbar" of Castine was named for him. He and Gladys had Eugene W. Dunbar who was age 16 in 1920. The 1906 Town Register lists children Goldie E., Frank E., Carl F. and Eugene W.

And how poor sailors fared that night, no tongue can ever tell
The wind blew high, the seas grew rough, and in torrents fell the rain

When soon you'll see the Stars and Stripes from the Fred's main topmast fly
