He and his wife and children lived in Texas, Scotland, Germany and then settled in Maryland and Virginia later in life. He authored a book of children's stories called 'Pedro Stories' about the life and adventures of a fictional Mexican boy taken from his experiences growing up in Brownsville, TX."
