Cyrus is son of John B. Mishler (1820-1895) and Elizabeth _______ - they also had Joseph Mishler and David Mishler. Cyrus and Harriet bought a large farm near Sabetha, Nemaha Co., KS in March, 1880, where they settled. Cyrus built the Rock Creek (Brethren) Church north of the farm and six miles north of Sabetha, and served as lay pastor there. He gave each of their five sons land for a farm. Harriet was known for her special home-made salves (a healing ointment for sores, pains and aches).

Moved to Dry Run on Aug. 6, 1849, to learn the coach-making trade from his uncle Simon Mower. Opened a coach-making shop in Dry Run in April, 1858. Member of Spring Run United Brethen Church and a Republican.

DANIEL R. PIPER, coach-maker, Dry Run, was born in Amberson's Valley, August 16, 1832. His father, John A., also born in Amberson's Valley, January 20, 1803, and was a son of Daniel and Mary (Witter) Piper; the latter a daughter of John Witter, of German descent. John A. Piper married Margaret Struble, who was born in this county November 26, 1808, a daughter of Daniel and Mary (Rook) Struble, the latter a daughter of George Rook. To Mr. And Mrs. John A. Piper were born in the following named children: Louis S., Wilson, Daniel R., Rebecca J., Jonathan, Martin, David H., Maria, Ezra, Mary A., William S., all of whom lived to be grown except William S., and served in the civil war, save Daniel R., who was physically disqualfied, but who would have gladly gone into the service. All returned home but David H., who died in the hospital at Gallatin, Tenn.; Louis S. and Jonathan reside in Nebraska; Rebecca J. is the wife of Franklin Cramer, and resides near Pleasant Hill, this country; Maria and Mary A. reside in Lawrence County, Ill., Mary A. being the wife of William Newman; Ezra resides in the same place; Wilson lives in Amberson's Valley. John A. Piper who was a farmer, died May 7, 1880, in Illinois; his wife died in Amberson's Valley, August 21, 1862. Daniel R. remained at home until the age of seventeen when he settled near Dry Run, August 6, 1849, and spent three years in learning his trade with Simon Mouer; then worked at journey work for over two years. His health failing he worked at the carpenter's trade three years. In April 1858, he rented the shop for two years and later brought the property, and has since carried on the business. January 31, 1855, he married Mary I. Harmon, who was born near Spring Run, a daughter of James and Nancy (Neal) Harmon. Mr. and Mrs. Piper have seven children: William S., John H. F., James A.L., Henry R., Martha B., Zepheniah A.C., and Mary C. Mr. Piper is a member of the United Brethren Church; politically he is a Republican.

He married Mary Browne Tinkham on October 27, 1647, in Plymouth, Massachusetts. They had eight children in 17 years. He died on June 5, 1685, in Plymouth, Massachusetts, at the age of 69."

[47029] Mark's obituary: "Mark A. Wolford age 74, resident of Shelby, passed away unexpectedly after a brief illness Wednesday, July 10, 2019 at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus. Born February 19, 1945 in Shelby to George and Mary Faye (Schooley) Wolford, he had been a life long Shelby resident. A 1963 graduate of Shelby High School, Mark had served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War era. He had worked as a welder at Galion Iron Works for several years before working as the Road Maintenance Supervisor for Sharon Township, where he retired in 1994 after 10 years. Mark was a member of the Most Pure Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Shelby, the American Legion O'Brian Post #326, Ontario VFW post #7651 and the Shelby Moose Lodge #422. He was an avid fisherman, and enjoyed following the Cleveland Indians and the Ohio State Buckeyes. Mark cherished the time he spent with his father-in-law Lawrence, doing yard work, and helping him in the garden and garage. Most of all he loved spending time with his family. He is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Janice (Biglin) Wolford, whom he wed September 26, 1970; three children Brad Wolford of Shelby, Jodi Wolford of Johnstown, Kevin (Kathryn) Wolford of Canal Winchester; one grandson Henry Wolford; two siblings Pat (Mark) White of Lancaster, Donald (Linn) Wolford of Florence, OR and father-in-law Lawrence Biglin of Shelby; nieces, nephews and other relatives. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his mother-in-law Mary Alice Biglin and nephew Scott Wolford."
