Plt. and as a medical specialist in the Army National Guard. She attended Beal College. Marcia started at the University of Maine at Augusta-Bangor in April 1970, and dedicated 45-plus years to supporting many students, faculty, and staff throughout that time. Marcia is survived by her loving adopted daughter, Shani Hardy and husband, Torrey Hardy. She was a cherished grandmother to Anthony Barlow and Kyla Kelly, wife of Dylan Kelly. Marcia took great joy in being a part of the lives of her great-grandchildren, Gabriella and Sadie Kelly; several cousins, and many special friends. Marcia had a passion for four-wheeling, snowmobiling, riding her Spyder, and hunting."

[14491] "The Boston Globe [Boston, Massachusetts], 3 September 1892," p. 8: "Holbrook, Mass., Sept. 3. Mr. Lemuel S. Whitcomb, of the firm of Whitcomb & Paine, a prominent shoe manufacturer of this town, died at 2.40 o'clock yesterday afternoon, after a short illness. Deceased was bom in Holbrook (then East Randolph) in 1826. He entered the public schools and finished about the time he was 18 years of age. He then joined his father, with whom he continued for about six months. At the age of 19 he entered into the shoe manufacturing business with his brother-in-law, Mr. White, and continued under the firm name of White & Whitcomb for a number of years. Finally the firm dissolved, and about 1865 Mr. Whitcomb formed a partnership with Mr. Charles H. Paine, under the firm name of Whitcomb & Paine, in which he continued up to the time of his death. Mr. Whitcomb was one of the most prominent men in the town of Holbrook. The funeral will take place on Sunday, at 3 p m., when the remains will be interred in the Union cemetery."
