[61] Richard's family is given in "Tennyson Gleanings," Estella Tennyson Gross (of Trinidad, Colo.; published in 1942 by Alfred Tennyson, 3221 Sherwood Place, Alhambra, CA). Richard moved to Ohio in 1822 and to Illinois in 1839. Richard's marriage license was issued 28-Aug-1798. He served in the War of 1812 from 25-Aug-1814 to 01-Nov-1814 as a Private in Capt. M. Murray's Co. of the Maryland Militia. (See bounty land claim 0-40-9996, 55-120-84173; Pension WO7278, WC3872 - admitted 3 Sept 1872). Reference: "Frederick County Militia in the War of 1812," S. A.
