Hutchins, 54, died today at his home after a long illness. He was bom at Penobscot November 16, 1903, the son of Frank and Margaret (Chamberlain) Hutchins. He was a member of the Methodist Church of Southwest Harbor. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Bernice Hutchins of Southwest Harbor; two sons, Sabin of Long Island, N. Y. and Kenneth ol Southwest Harbor; three sisters, Mrs. Esther Norwood of Gardiner, Mrs. Abby Hetrick of Bernard and Mrs Marion Reese of Boston; three brothers, Sabin of Chatham, Mass, Alllster of Miami, Fla. and Jasper of Southwest Harbor; several nieces and nephews."

Find A Grave memorial 155608648 offers his obituary: "WIilliam Kohler was born in Juniata County and farmed in Snyder County until 1850, when he bought a farm in Turbett township, which he cultivated besides raising stock. William Kohler married a lady of Snyder county, Susan, daughter of John Motz, a farmer and distiller, of German descent, born in Centre County, and a resident of Snyder County. They had five children: Annie B. (Mrs. J. P. Shindle), of Lancaster City; Sarah E. (Mrs. J. F. Jacobs), of Portsmouth, VA; John A. of Turbett Township; Mary L. (Mrs M. L. Moul), of Peoria County, IL; and Emelia who died when a young woman. William Kohler was a Democrat, and was elected on that ticket, in 1861, one of the commissiners of Juniata County, which position he filled for the best interest of the taxpayers. He also filled acceptably the office of school director, doing much in his neighborhood for the establishment of the public school on a firm basis. He was elected to several other important offices. He was a prominent member and an elder of the Lutheran church, and was also superintendent and teacher in the Sunday school. He died universally respected, September 16, 1893. His wife, Susan (Motz) Kohler, died February 5, 1894."
