Born Feb. 20, 1900, in Mansfield, where he lived all his life, Mr. Heichel was a retired 45-year employee of Mansfield Tire & Rubber Co. and a member of St. John's United Church of Christ, Sons of Herman and Mansfield Tire 25 Year Club. Surviving are two sons, William E. of Mansfield and Robert G. of Bellville; two daughters, Dorothy M. Ball and Donna J. Heichel, both of Mansfield; an adopted son, Richard of Mansfield; an adopted daughter, Judy Mayer of Mansfield; 13 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Pauline King Heichel and his second wife, Gertrude Jackson Heichel; three brothers, a sister; seven half brothers; and three half sisters."

[51964] "Bangor Daily News [Bangor, Maine], 29 May 2013": "Mary Harriet Colson, 91, wife of the late Linwood L. Colson Jr., passed away May 26, 2013 at a Bangor health care facility. She was born July 28, 1921, in Old Town, the daughter of Charles A. and Olive B. (Cousins) Perro. She attended schools in Old Town and attended the University of Maine. Mary Harriet was named for her grandmother, Mary Perro and her grandmother, Harriet Cousins. In her early years, she spent many hours with her grandfather, Augustus Perro, at his business, Hotel Fransway in Old Town. She also visited summers with her grandparents, Harriet and Everett Cousins, and her aunt, Agnes Hilton in Guilford, where she met her future husband, Linwood Lloyd Colson Jr. She was a devoted member of United Methodist Church of Guilford serving as a Sunday school teacher and assisting with various fundraisers and volunteering at church fairs and suppers for many years. She was an active member of Conner-Trafton Post of American Legion Auxiliary and a member of the Band-Aids in SAD No. 4, supporting the local Guilford bands through fundraising and volunteer work. Surviving are two children, Pamela S. (Colson) Power and her husband, James, of Veazie and Dr. Linwood L. Colson III and special friend, Nicholas J. Wood, of Bangor; a nephew and several cousins. She was predeceased by a sister, Ruth E. Perro."

Born in Warren, Massachusetts, he graduated from Harvard University in 1781, was a teacher and a tutor in Harvard University, until 1787. In 1788, he began to work with the theories of steam engines and built the tubular boiler, a new kind of steam boiler. He then made efforts to improve the function of the steam cylinder placed it in a horizontal position so the engine could sustain much higher pressure and invented the high-pressure steam engine. His new engine was more convenient, portable, also much lighter and safer, which could be used in new fields, such as steamboat and locomotive. Read made several models of steamcar and steamboat in 1790, invented the chain-wheel to using paddle wheels to propel the steamboat and set up a shipbuilding factory in 1796. He also developed a new machine, which could be cutting and heading nails at one operation, which was patented on January 8, 1798 and developed a style of rotary steam engine in 1817. In 1800, he was elected as a Federalist to the Sixth Congress to fill the vacancy caused by the resignation of Samuel Sewall, was reelected to the Seventh Congress and served until 1803. Not a candidate for re-nomination, he was judge of the court of common pleas of Essex County in 1803, moved to Belfast, Maine, in 1807 and was judge of the county court of Hancock County in 1807. He was instrumental in establishing Belfast Academy and served as trustee until his death at age 89 in Belfast, Maine. - Bio by: John 'J-Cat' Griffith"
