He was present at the interview with Henry in the Tower, 29 September, at which Richard signed his abdication, and in the first Parliament of Henry IV on 23 October, assented to the imprisonment of the late King. He served as Treasurer of England, from September 1403 to November 1404. He died at Belvoir and was buried in the priory. His inquisition post mortem mentions younger sons, William, Thomas, Robert, and Richard, and a daughter, Elizabeth, who married Robert, Lord Morley. The Rivevaulx Chartulary records also daughters Margaret, who married James, son of John (Audley), Lord Audley, Beatrice, and Alice. Note that Margaret married James Tuchet, son of Lord Audley, John Tuchet, who took the name Audley, but were, in fact, Tuchets." William was M.P., 1394-1413, Treasurer of England, 1403-04, K.G. in 1403, m. in 1394 Margaret Fitz Alan de Arundel; they had Margaret de Ros, living in 1423, m. ca. 1415 James Tuchet, 2nd Baron Audley, who d. 23 Sept 1459, son of Sir John Dutton and Margaret Savage [Margaret and James had Anne Tuchet who m. Count Christian of Oldenburg (1425-1481) was elected King Christian I of Denmark (in 1448) by the Danish Nobility becoming King of Norway (in 1450) and later King of Sweden (in 1457). Schleswig and Holstein were acquired by Christian I from his mother Heilwige or 'Hedwig' (sister and heiress of Count Adolph VIII of Holstein and Duke of Schleswig) and in 1460 he issued a declaration that Schleswig and Holstein should always be united even though Schleswig was a Danish province whilst Holstein was technically part of The Holy Roman Empire. Holstein was elevated to a Duchy on 14 February 1474. Christian I assigned Oldenburg to his brother Gerhard. Following the death of Gerhard's childless great great grandson Anthony Gunther in 1667, Oldenburg reverted to Denmark and it became a Duchy on 29 December 1775 followed by elevation to Grand Ducal status on 9 June 1815. She married Robert Swift or Swyft in 1605 in Bicester, Oxfordshire, England. They had one child during their marriage. She died in 1649 in her hometown at the impressive age of 96.
