Anna Maria was brought up as a Lutheran and on 24 February 1544 became the wife of Christoph, Duke of Württemberg. She later acted as guardian to her son Ludwig III, Duke of Württemberg early in his reign. After the death of her husband Christoph she lived more than 20 jears in the Nürtingen castle, she died in Nürtingen. After losing both her husband and her eldest son in 1568, Anna Maria fell madly in love with the young Landgrave George I of Hesse-Darmstadt (1547-1596). Soon afterwards she became mentally confused and was locked up. George I later married her daughter Eleonore."

Eise Sr., of 177 Maple Lane, died Friday evening at the Mansfield General Hospital following a three-week illness. Born Dec. 22, 1893, in Tipp City, O., she lived in this vicinity the past 42 years. She was a member of the First Christian Church, and the Ladies Auxiliary of Brotherhood of Railway Trainmen. Surviving in addition to her husband, are one son, Carl H. Eise, Jr., Boynton Beach, Fla.; three daughters. Mrs. Donald Depeau, Palm Spring, Fla., Mrs. Manford Crum, 142 North Brookwood Wav, and Mrs. John Willrath, 175 Maple Lane; nine grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Janis Trapp, Galion, and Mrs. Ray VanAntwerp of Tiffin. The body was removed to the Wappncr Funeral Home where services will be held Monday at 1 p. m., conducted by her pastor, the Rev. William C. Newman. Burial will be in the Mansfield Memorial Park."

Sylvia was born in Mariaville on Jan. 6, 1927, to parents Emery and Nathalie (Williams) Jordan. Sylvia was never one to tiptoe through life. She was up for any adventure, her many interests included gardening, fishing, hunting, genealogy, bird watching, travel, and community activities. She loved her many friends, and enjoyed being a part of the Red Hats, Domino groups, Historical Society, and the Amherst Aurora Congregational Church. Sylvia was an educated lady, an honorable member of Phi Beta Kappa. She graduated from UMO with a double major, later earning her master's degree in Social Work from Harvard in her mid-50's. She had a long career in Social Work with the State of Maine while living in Hallowell - where her two daughters were raised. After retiring and remarrying, she moved back to her family homestead in Osborn where she grew up, making her the seventh generation of her family to live there. Sylvia leaves behind her daughters, Kathryn and her husband, Timothy Hagerty, of Pepperell, MA, and Margaret Shalhoob of Bangor; granddaughter, Emily and her husband, Joe Brittelli; and great-grandchildren, Natalie and Madeline, all of Hampden. She was predeceased by her parents and second husband, Richard Sawyer."

[52207] "The Bangor Daily News [Bangor, Maine]," 4 April 1951, p. 3: "Cherryfield, April 3 - Wilbur G. Strout, 83, died at his home here today after a short illness. He was born in Cherryfield, the son of the late Tobias and Rebecca Nash Strout, and had lived here all his life. He was a retired dairy farmer. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Harriet Strout, Cherryfield; six sons, Howard of Portland, Hollis and Kenneth, both of Cherryfield, Carl of Willimantic, Conn; James of Ellsworth and Arthur of Harrington; three daughters, Mrs. Edna Gifford, Somerville, Mass., Mrs Anna Grant and Miss Marion Strout, both of Cherryfield; and several grandchildren."
