Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., Mr. Viaggio lived there until moving to Edison 10 years ago. He was an Army Air Corps veteran of World Warll. Before retiring in 1983, he was a dental technician in the Manhattan Psychiatric Center in New York for 33 years. Surviving are three daughters, Barbara Ann Lesh, in Pennsylvania, and Jeanne Johnson and Patricia Sue Timberlake, both of Brooklyn, N.Y.; his mother, Mary Grace Viaggio of Edison; three sisters, Carmy Costa of Edison, Ida Urso of Toms River and Adeline Mancini of Long Island, N.Y., and three grandchilden." Nicholas enlisted in the U. S, Army 11 Nov 1943 and was discharged 7 April 1946 - his enlistment record states he r. Delaware Co., PA, has one year of college, is single, with dependents, and is a mechanic and repairman.

[9094] Catherine's obituary: "Catherine M. Poffenbaugh, age 95, resident of Shelby died Sunday, April 7, 2013 in Shelby Pointe. Born September 25, 1917 in Richland County to Pose and Lucy (Earick) Wade she had been a Shelby resident all her life. She had been a member of the Shelby Eagles #763, V.F.W. Post #291 and the American Legion #326. Catherine enjoyed camping, cooking, canning garden fresh produce, attending dances and listening to music. While at Shelby Pointe, she looked forward to attending the volunteer church group services and cherished the visits from her family and friends. Survivors include two sons, Eugene (Connie) Poffenbaugh of Bucyrus and David (Brenda) Poffenbaugh of Shiloh; one daughter, Mary Jane (Robert R.) Ludwick of Mansfield; five grandchildren, Eugene E. Poffenbaugh Jr, Mitchell Lee (Bonnie) Poffenbaugh, Melissa Poffenbaugh, Steven (DaWanna) Poffenbaugh and Jeffrey (Tracey) Poffenbaugh; one great grandson, Zackery Poffenbaugh, nieces, nephews and other relatives. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lester Poffenbaugh in 1979 and two brothers."
