http://www.san.beck.org/AB17-FeudalEurope.html offers: "Harald Fairhair's successor Erik was called Bloodaxe because he killed several of his brothers. Haakon was brought up by England's king Athelstan as a Christian. Erik Bloodaxe married Gunnhild, the daughter of Denmark's king Gorm the Old. Haakon returned from England with a force and made an alliance with Earl Sigurd, driving Erik out of Norway in the 940s. Haakon restored the udal rights of the bondholders which Harald had taken away, encouraging many to return from exile. By 948 Erik Bloodaxe had become king in York, but the English drove him out for King Eadred. Erik returned in 952 but two years later was forced out again; he was killed with five other Norse kings at Stanmore in Northumbria. Erik Bloodaxe's widow Gunnhild fled to her brother Harald Bluetooth's court in Jutland and got him to attack Norway. In response Norwegians led by Haakon raided the coasts of Jutland, Zealand, and Danish lands in Sweden."
In 2007 http://fmg.ac/Projects/MedLands/NORWAY.htm offers: "Snorre names 'Eirik Blood-axe' as the son of King Harald and his wife 'Ragnhild the Mighty'. The 'Historia Norwegie' names 'Ericus . . . Blothex' as oldest son of 'Haraldus Comatus', specifying that he succeeded his father as king. Snorre records that he was fostered by 'the herse Thorer Hroaldson' after his mother's death, in a later passage that this was in the Fjord district. Under his father's division of territories, Halogaland, North More and Raumsdal were granted to Eirik. He succeeded in [930] on the abdication of his father as Erik I 'Blodøks/Blood-axe' Over-King of Norway. He conquered Viken in 934 after defeating his half-brothers Olav King of Viken and Sigröd King of Tröndheim at Tunsberg. His support diminished after the return to Norway of his half-brother Haakon, and he fled in [935/36] to Orkney where he established himself as king and took to piracy because he had little land. The 'Historia Norwegie' records that he was deposed after ruling one year and fled to England where he was baptised and appointed 'toti Northimbrie comes' by King Athelstan. King Athelstan established him as vassal king at York in 939, on condition that he and his family accepted baptism. He was expelled from York in 940 by Athelstan's successor King Edmund I. He returned as King of York after a Danish revolt 947-948, but was driven out in 949 by Olaf Sihtricson. After the latter was deposed, Erik became king of York once more 952-954 until the Northumbrians rose against him and defeated him. He was killed by Maccus son of Harald Sihtricsson King of Limerick. - m ([922]) Gunhild, daughter of --- ([910/20]-after 970). The primary sources are contradictory concerning Gunhild's parentage. According to the 'Historia Norwegie', she was Gunhild, daughter of Gorm 'den Gamle/the Old' King of Denmark & his wife Tyre, this source recording the marriage of 'Ericus . . . Blothex' and 'de Dania . . . Gunnildam . . . Gorms Stultissimi Danorum regis filiam ac Thyri' and specifying that she was 'malificam et iniquissimam'. According to Snorre, she was the daughter of Ozur 'Tote', a Finn who lived in Halogaland, in a later passage stating that she was 'clever with much knowledge and lively but a very false person and very cruel in disposition'. Snorre names 'Eyvind Skreyja and Alf Askman' as brothers of Gunhild, when recording that they joined the army of Harald Eirikson and were killed in battle. Her birth date range is estimated from her allegedly having nine sons by her husband, who were probably born in the range [935/50] if the indications in Snorre's narrative are correct. If this is correct, she was probably older than her brother Harald King of Denmark, assuming that her Danish origin is correct. Gunhild returned to Orkney with her sons after her husband's death, departing in [spring/summer] 955 for Denmark where her sons were granted fiefs by King Harald. The 'Historia Norwegie' records that she returned with her sons to 'fratrem suum Haraldum regem Danorum' after her husband was murdered. After her son succeeded as king of Norway, she was known as the 'King mother' and exercised considerable influence in governing the country. She returned to Orkney with her surviving sons after the defeat of her son King Harald in [965] at Limfiord."

[13092] (H)ester was living 29 Oct 1670 when she chose her brother-in-law, John Lovell, Sr. of Rehoboth, husband of her sister Elizabeth, to be her guardian.
[42173] Tim graduated from MCI High School and entered the Air Force, and served in the Air National Guard. Later he worked in construction, specializing in running heavy equipment. In 1964 he became a Maine Game Warden and later as a pilot for the Maine Warden Service in northern Maine, retiring in 1984. He had a passion for flying and with a friend built two airplanes. He fished and caught lobsters for many years, hauling traps until 2014. "The Ellsworth American [Ellsworth, Maine], 24 January 2017": "Blue Hill - Roland (Tim) Adrian Tarr, 80, of Blue Hill, died peacefully surrounded by his wife and children at his home on Jan. 17, 2017. Tim was born Sept. 7, 1936, in Glenburn and spent his youth in central Maine, where he played fullback for MCI High School. Upon graduation, he entered the Air Force and served in the Air National Guard, thus fueling his love of flying. After his service, he worked in construction, specializing in running heavy equipment. In 1959, he married his sweetheart Gloria Edith (Glavine). They were married for 57 years and had six children. In 1964, Tim began his career as a Maine game warden, working on the Blue Hill Peninsula and later as a pilot for the Maine Warden Service in northern Maine. He thoroughly enjoyed serving as a game warden and accumulated and retold countless stories with a twinkle in his eyes, of the 'ones that got away,' poachers, and rescues of people and animals in danger. He was known for being fair, respectful, and persistent, being a good marksman, and was most proud that he never pulled or used his service revolver during altercations or arrests. He retired in 1984. Tim and a friend built two airplanes for personal use, which flew him all over Maine. His flight stories included dropping food bundles at a Boy Scout campsite, finding remote fishing holes, visiting family and simply enjoying the beauty of Maine. This passion for flying and fishing along with his love of animals was shared with his children and grandchildren. He bought his first commercial fishing boat in 1979 and later built another boat aptly named the Gloria E. Over the years he fished according to the season: scalloping, shrimping, tuna fishing and lobstering; he continued hauling traps until 2014. He is survived by his devoted wife, Gloria, and their six children: Tracey Tarr with Jay Witcher; Michelle Lamprell with Jeff Karcher; Michael Tarr and wife, Beth-Ellen Tarr-Edwards; David and wife, Joyce Tarr; Heidi Tarr and husband, Tim Hagelin; Holli Tarr and husband, Matt Hinderliter. He was 'Poppy' to his 12 grandchildren: Simon (and wife, Mouna), Timmy, and Samantha Lamprell; Stephen and Tyler Tarr; Ellenore, Grace, Ruth, and Margaret Tarr; Elsa Molarsky; Katherine and Margaret Hinderliter; and one great-grandson, Adam Lamprell."
