John Sarver, a lifelong and widely known resident of Buffalo township, died Wednesday forenoon at his home, his death being caused by a complication of ailments incident to his advanced age. Mr. Sarver was aged 82 years. He was a prominent farmer and highly respected citizen, being well and favorable known among a large circle of friends and acquaintances. He was son of the late John and Susan Burtner Sarver, who where pioneer settlers at Sarver, this country. Mr. Sarver is survived by two sons and four daughters, Henry Sarver of near Tarentum, Pa., John Sarver and Mrs. Miller Ralston, both of Buffalo Township; Mrs. A.J. Miller and Miss Vina Sarver, both of Butler, and Miss Ida Sarver, at home." and lists his children with Phebe: Sarah Alice Sarver Ralston (1866 - 1967); Ida E. Sarver (1867 - 1962); William Henry Sarver (1868 - 1940).
[56688] Gary's obituary: "Gary R. Tyler, 82, died March 10, 2018 at MDI Hospital. He was born July 9, 1935 in Lubec, the son of Cecil K. and Queenie (Rice) Tyler. Gary served in the US Army from 1962-1964. After he was honorably discharged he went to work at the Asticou for several years, before going to work at the Mt. Desert Elementary School as a custodian. He retired after 30 years of service. Gary was an active outdoorsman, enjoying hunting, fishing, and gardening. He was known for his carving and received many awards. He is survived by his beloved wife of 57 years. Joan E. Tyler; 2 children, Sally Hulme and husband Tony of West Simsbury Ct. and Jonathan Tyler of Goose Creek, South Carolina: 5 grandchildren; Samantha, Emily and Trey Hume, Riaz and Jalal Tyler; and 1 niece. Gary was predeceased by his brother, Arthur C. Rice."
