[44493] The unverified Carlyon Family Tree in Ancestry.com in 2018 offers: "John Flaharty was born in 1715. He married Hannah Pennick on April 7, 1735. They had four [known] children in 14 years. He died on October 24, 1756, in Dorchester, Maryland, at the age of 41. Hannah Pennick was born in 1715 in Pennsylvania. . . . She died in 1757 at the age of 42." However note that he died 14 months before his son Amassa was born, so further research is needed.

"New York Herald [New York, NY], 20 May 1917," p. 8: "William Hurlburt Force, head of the commission firm of W. H. Force & Co. at 78 Front Street and the father of Mrs. William K. Dick, who was formerly Mrs. John Jacob Astor, died yesterday at his home in 11 East Sixty-eighth street. He was 65 years old. Mr. Force was born in Brooklyn in 1852, the son of William nnd Mary Emmons Force, and came of a family that had lived in Brooklyn for many years. He was educated at Poughkeepsie Academy, and January 16, 1889, he married Miss Katherine Arville Talmage. Two children were born to them, Madeleine Talmage Force, who became the bride of John Jacob Astor in 1911 and married Mr. Dick about a year ago, and Katherine Emmons Force. Practically all of Mr. Force's life was spent in Brooklyn and Manhattan. When a young man he started the trucking firm of Force & Glover, and later established the firm of William H. Force &Co., taking into partnership Walter S. Force, a cousin, on the death of Glover. The business rapidly grew from trucking to forwarding and shipping, and in the past few years Mr. Force had done an extensive coffee weighing business."

"The Bangor Daily News [Bangor, Maine]," 21 February 2023: "Dover-Foxcroft - Eunice (Merrill) Kinney Mitchell, 97, passed away February 17, 2023, at Golden View in Meredith, NH. She was born March 28, 1925, in Atkinson, Maine, the daughter of Clifford and Lucetta (Doore) Merrill. Eunice grew up in Atkinson and graduated from Higgins Classical Institute, Charleston, class of 1944. She attended Gorham State Teachers College, then taught in a one-room school in Atkinson, and later in Richmond, Maine. She was an active member of the United Methodist Church of Dover-Foxcroft and the UMWomen's organization, serving as a cook on mission trips, financial secretary, and annual conference delegate. Eunice enjoyed cooking, crocheting, reading, attending plays, and visiting with her friends and family. Eunice was predeceased by two loving husbands, Calvin A. Kinney (married 1947-1965) and Stephen John Mitchell (married 1968-2002); two devoted sisters, Ruth (Merrill) Kinney and husband, Richard, and Rebecca (Merrill) Kinney, and husband, Leon. She is survived by her only child, Elaine (Kinney) Campbell and her husband, Bruce, of Meredith, NH; two grandchildren, Brian Campbell and wife, Jaclyn, of Meredith, NH, and Matthew Campbell and wife, Carly, of Arlington, MA; three great-grandchildren, Isabella and Klay Campbell of Meredith, NH, and Adelaide Campbell of Arlington, MA; brother-in-law, Wayne Kinney and wife, Leni; and many cherished nieces and nephews."

His full name is Rainier III Louis Henry Maxence Bertrand and he was 13th Prince of Monaco. Educated in England, Switzerland, and France, he was an artillery officer with the French army in World War II. In 1949 Rainier became the ruler of Monaco when his grandfather, Prince Louis II, abdicated because of ill health. He was married to Grace Patricia Kelly in 1956 - they had Princess Caroline of Monaco, Prince Albert Alexandre Louis of Monaco, Princess Stephanie Marie Elisabeth of Monaco.
