She was born November 16, 1928 in Aliquippa, a daughter of the late Jay R. and Nellie Snyder Doverspike. She was a member of the Hookstown Free Methodist Church and the Hookstown Grange #1980. She was preceded in death by her husband, Leland C. "Doc" Floyd, in 1975; five sons, Richard, James, Daniel, Thomas and Jay Floyd; one great-granddaughter, two brothers, and one sister. She is survived by five sons, William Floyd, Beaver; Jack Floyd, Aliquippa; Donald Floyd, Georgetown; Tim Floyd, Hookstown, and David Floyd, Clinton; four daughters, Jean Stewart and Joann Lang, both of Chester; Nancy Yurcina, Aliquippa, and Kay Lewis, formerly of Frankfort Springs. She is also survived by twenty-nine grandchildren, forty great-grandchildren, two brothers, Lee Doverspike, Cleveland, David Doverspike, Ambridge, and one sister, Maryetta Petiya, in Ohio."

He is survived by his wife, the former Ida Reiner; one daughter, Mrs. Alice Miller, Pine Grove; two grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Mary Smeltz of Williamstown, and Mrs. Dorothy Zerbe, Highspire. His funeral will be held from the Dreisigacker Funeral Home, Tower City, on Saturday morning with his paster, the Rev. Arthur Sonnenberg officiating. Interment will be in Fairview Cemetery, Muir."
