She was born on March 22, 1933, the daughter of Della (Blaisdell) and Frank Bridges. Nellie loved her family. She loved being a mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and a great great-grandmother. She enjoyed knitting. She is survived by her three children: Marcus Burpee and wife Jackie, Joan Black and husband Bill, and Michael Burpee and partner Donna Anthony. Three grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and 3 great great-grandchildren along with many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her first husband Luther Burpee, second husband Elwin Pierce and two sisters."
