James' death certificate states he was a plumber and a veteran of World War I. He is son of John Green Darden (1846-1930) & Martha Emma Bowen (1861-1903).

[41160] Fort Wayne Sentinel, 20 March 1919 reported: "Henry Disler, a resident of Allen county for over a half century, died Wednesday night at the home of a son-in-law, 1425 Sherman street, at the advanced age of eight years. Death followed an illness due to complication of diseases. He was born in Ohio, but came to Indiana when he was twelve years of age and for many years resided near Leo. Surviving he leaves four children: Mrs. Mella Carrington, Mrs. Ella Horn, Mrs. Stella B. Smith and Gerry Disler, all of Fort Wayne. There are also five grandchildren and two great grandchildren. The deceased is also survived by a brother Pierce Disler, and two sisters, Mrs. Elizabeth Hoseler, and Mrs. Phoeba Martin."
