Hee was born at Penobscot, August 9, 1903, the son of George and Ida (Grindle) Bowden. He retired from St. Regis Paper Company in 1969. He was a member of the Verona Grange and a member of the Fort Knox Local 1821. He is survived by two sons, Richard of Bucksport and Norman of Verona; one daughter, Avis Parker of Bangor; two sisters, Mrs. Margaret Burwick of Lisbon Falls and Mrs. Edna Beaulieu of Brockton, Mass.; three brothers, Herbert and Haverner, both of Penobscot, and Louville of Kittery; and three grandsons. Funeral services will be held at the Mitchell-Tweedie Funeral Home, Bucksport, Saturday at 2 p. m. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery, Bucksport."

She was born on Cape Jellison, Stockton Springs, the 10th of 11 children born to John Jason and Georgia 'Nellie' Emeral Littlefield. Iva grew up there until they moved to Searsport where she attended Searsport schools. Her husband and children built and maintained Kinneys Estate and Kinneys Construction in Searsport. Iva was famous for her home-made doughnuts, especially the glazed ones, which will be missed by the many people she shared them with. She even passed them out for treats at Halloween for years. She and Max married in 1951 and had six children. She is survived by five of them, Deloris I. Merithew and husband Anthony of Searsport, Kathreen Ward and husband Douglas of Searsport, Barbara White and husband Timothy, Allen 'Brent' Kinney and wife Theresa, Max R. Kinney and wife Linda; her brother Herman Littlefield; 20 grandchildren, many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren as well as many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by both parents; her husband Max G. Kinney; a son Kenneth Kinney in 2015, five brothers, Harry, Delbert, Washington, Stellman and Luther; four sisters, Helen Dickey and husband Elmer, Margaret and husband Don Engburg, Josephine and husband Henry Clements, Jennie and husband Forest Sanborn."

Dallis' obituary: "Bucksport - Dallis K. Saunders, 82, passed away Thursday February 14, 2019 at a St. Josephs Hospital. She was born in Bucksport on April 4, 1936. Daughter of Lester and Helen (Tolman) Sutherland. Dallis was happiest when her home was filled with her children and all the neighborhood kids that spent a lot of time at the 'farm'. Dallis is survived by six children. Richard and wife Lisa of Florida, David and wife Lorraine of Orland, Robin Wardwell and husband Bobby of Orland, Dana and wife Sandy of Vassalboro, Rusty and wife Paulette of Bucksport and Danny and wife Jen of Bucksport. She was MeMe to 18 grandchildren and several great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband Stuart on August 6, 2015 after 61 years of marriage. She was also predeceased by her parents and only sister Iris Cushing. The Saunders family would like to thank her care givers Carolyn, Racheal and Lizz who took great care of her and spent time with her. A special thank you to Patti Perkins who was Dalliss neighbor and who always made her laugh. The family would also like to extent their gratitude to the Drs, nurses and staff of St. Josephs Hospital for their kind and compassionate care of Dallis and the family while Dallis was a patient."
