Ruth attended beauty school in Bangor and had worked as a hairdresser for several years. Ruth also worked as a real estate agent in Washington state and North Carolina. She was an accomplished watercolorist and sold her artwork at summer art shows in Maine and North Dakota, and taught watercolor lessons. Some of her watercolors appeared on the Web page of a major corporation for several months. Ruth and her husband traveled extensively throughout the U.S., where her husband's work took them. They returned to Maine about 20 years ago and lived in Windham and Pittsfield prior to moving to Gray. Ruth will be remembered for many years for her smile and her beautiful watercolors that exist in many areas of this country. Ruth was the daughter of Ralph and Fannie Bradley of Searsport. She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Emery; daughter, Lynn of Florida; and her sisters, Ethel Moody of Searsport, Lucille Paul of Belfast and Marge and Roy Moody of Searsport. She was predeceased by her daughter, Laurie of Windham; and a sister, Pat Knox of Searsport."
