[34129] See "Maine, Births and Christenings, 1739-1900," index, FamilySearch (https://familysearch.org). Levi's family and other information are given by "THE DUNN FAMILY MOVED BY JOHN WESLEY" at http://www.mainething.com/alexander which offers: "Levi Cobb Dunn is found on the 1850 census of Alexander. He is listed with his wife Sally and children Russell, Elmira, Olin, and Laura. A family sketch from A-CHS Project Scholar David Chase fills in details. Levis wife was Sally Carle, born May 9, 1817 at Waterborough, Maine, a daughter of Peter and Abigail (Hamilton) Carle. Peter and Abigail had a hotel at the four-corners of South Princeton before moving to West Princeton. Sally and Reverend Levi C. Dunn of Alexander were married on March 14, 1839. . . . Levi was Methodist minister. Information supplied by Boston University, School of Theology Library reveals that Levi was converted at age 17 (1829) and soon felt the call for Christian ministry. He prepared himself by attendance at Kents Hill Seminary at Readfield, Maine and gave two years to the Maine Conference as an itinerant preacher. United with the East Maine Conference, he served in Lincolnville, Sullivan, Tremont, Washington, Winslow, Hermon, and supply for the last two years. Poor health interrupted his service several times including from 1839 to 1852 and he retired in 1861. Levi died at Orono, Maine on September 13, 1894. Sally died on March 21, 1907, also at Orono. Their daughter Almira had married Jeremiah S. Paine and she resided in Orono. Places of birth and death of Levis children add more to their travels. I suspect three were born at the house on the Arm Road."
