"The Sabetha Republican-Herald [Sabetha, Kansas], 30 May 1907," p. 8: "Ezra J. Beeghly was born near Accident, Garrett county, Maryland July 19, 1847. He was married to Delilah Coleman March 3, 1868. To this union ten children were born, Mrs. Ada Mishler of Sabetha, Kansas, William M. Beeghly of Hill City Kansas, Mrs. Mary E. Snyder of Wisner, Nebraska, Milton J. Beeghly of Industry, Kansas, Josiah E. Beeghly of Abilene, Kansas, Mrs. Emma Marmet of Sabelha, Kansas, Harvey Beeghly of Talmage, Kansas, Miss Nellie Beeghly of Abilene, Kansas, Calvin Arthur Beeghly who died February 3, 1894 and Norman R. Beeghly of Abilene, Kansas. Besides his immediate family he leaves two brothers M. J. Beeghly of Sabetha, Kansas and J. J. Beeghly of Rosedale, North Dakota, and five sisters, Mrs. Kathryn Hostettler of Garrett county Maryland, Mrs. Abbie Sperline, Mrs. Lydia Barnes and Mrs. Rachel Root of Sabetha, Kansas and Mrs. Sarah Miller of Beattie, Kansas who deeply mourn the loss of a kind and loving husband, father and brother. The deceased lived in Cove, Garrett county Maryland until April 1, 1872 when he moved with his family to Somerset, Pennsylvania. Then he moved to Falls City, Nebraska April 5, 1876, from there he moved three miles south of Sabetha March 1, 1878. From here he moved seven miles north of Sabetha, April 5, 1881 and lived here fourteen years moving two miles north of Sabetha in 1895. Eight years later he moved to Abilene, Kansas where be resided at the time of his death. He joined the Brethren church April 1869 and remained an active worker all the remainder of his life. He was a deacon for many years, an active Sunday school worker and was superintendent for a number of years. He suffered uncomplainingly for almost a year with sciatic rheumatism and kidney disease, and fell peacefully to sleep about four o'clock Saturday, May 25, 1907. A few days before his death be asked those present to sing and when aaked If he bad any song he would like to have sung, called for 'Pass me not Oh Gentle Saviour' and be sang it through with the rest In a clear unfaltering voice."
Ezra Jay was the eldest of nine children of Josiah Beeghly and Sarah Horner.

McChesney, 78, of Sweitzer rd will be held Friday at 3 p. m. at the Hopkins Funeral Home. Mr. McChesney, a retired farmer, died unexpectedly Monday at his home following a heart attack. Born in Springfield Twp., he was a life resident of this area. He had retired in 1955. Mr. McChesney had been a member of the Green Twp. Zoning Commission, was a precinct committeeman and a member of the Green Twp. Republican Club. He also was a member of the Uniontown Methodist Church and Lions Club, Lake Grange 1744, Uniontown Community Council and the Friends of 1900. He and his wife, Jennie, celebrated their 50th anniversary last year. He also leaves a son, Bruce L. of Uniontown; two daughters, Mrs. Helene Wilson of Akron and Mrs. Louise Rue of North Canton; a brother, Mark F. of Akron; a sister, Mrs. Lura Mader of Akron, and seven grandchildren."

She was born Aug. 26, 1927, in Columbia Falls, the daughter of Harold and Lucy (Albee) Tyler. She graduated from Columbia Falls High School in 1945. She married Embert Tibbetts in April 1947. They raised four children, Jane, Embert Jr., Stephen and Renee. She enjoyed reading, word searches, sewing, quilting, canning, especially pickles, and watching the birds. She started working at Machias Laundromat in 1969 and continued through several owners to the present owners, who became special friends, Joanne and Cony Upton, of Machias Cleaning and Laundry Center. She met and made many friends through her work. She will be greatly missed by family and friends. She is survived by daughter, Jane and son-in-law, Billy; son, Embert Jr. and companion, Suzette Grant, and her daughter, Erin; son, Stephen; daughter, Renee and son-in-law, Kyle Rogers; grandchildren, Wade, Will Coffin and wife, Sara, Kyle, Loni, Tyler and Tayler Tibbetts; great-grandchildren, Timothy, Cody, Shelby, Caitlyn, Brendon, Breanna, Brielle Coffin and Alexis Tibbetts; several nieces and nephews; a sister, Clara Donovan; and a brother, Harold Tyler Jr. She was predeceased by her husband of 34 years, Embert Tibbetts Sr.; grandson, Timothy Coffin; and a sister, Marjorie Worcester. She will be laid to rest at Indian River Cemetery, Jonesport."
