"The Bangor Daily News [Bangor, Maine], 12 July 1940," p. 6: "Friends in Bangor have received news of the death of the Rev. Leonard S. Williams which occurred July 1 in Dryden Mills. Mr. Williams was a native of Great Pond and was educated at the Buckport seminary and Bates college. He started his ministry in Lewiston and served many communities in the western part of Maine."
