Martin, 77, of 309 South Market street, this borough, died at the home of his brother, George Martin, Union street, Columbia, at 12:30 p.m. last Thursday. Dr. I. L. Moyer, Columbia deputy coroner, said death was caused by a heart condition. It was learned Martin went to visit his brother Thursday morning and was stricken shortly after noon. He was a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. William Martin and a member of Christ Evangelical and Reformed Church, this borough, and Lodge 596, Loyal Order of Moose, this borough. Surviving are a son, Coyle Martin, Elizabethtown R. D. 1; two daughters, Catherine, wife of John Epler, Middletown R. D. 1; Mrs. Mary Brandt, this borough; ten grandchildren, five great- grandchildren and nine brothers and sisters: James Martin, Tennessee; Robert and Arthur Martin, Iowa; George Martin, Columbia; Edward Martin, Loysville; Mrs. Harry Hench, California; Mrs. Olive Johnson, Minnesota; Mrs. Wohletz Wallace, New Bloomfield; Mrs. Dale Seitz, Carlisle. Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon from the Miller funeral home, with interment in the Mount Tunnel Cemetery.

[53001] "The Bangor Daily News [Bangor, Maine]," 3 May 1921, p. 2: "Columbia Falls - Announcement of the death of Mr. Nathaniel White a former long-time resident of Columbia Falls, recently at the age of 88 years, at his home in Haverhill, Mass., was received with sorrow by his relative and friends in Columbia Falla and vicinity. He leaves one son, Milton White of Haverhill, Hannah Tibbets White, his wife, died aome years ago, and a little daughter died during the first years of their married life. The late Augustus White of Columbia Falls, whose widow resides with her daughter, Mrs. Lillian White in Portland was his brother and Dr. E. A. White of this town is a nephew. He was a member of the large pioneer White family of Columbia. Mr. White wae well known as an honest business man and kind and thoughtful friend and neighbor. He was an earnest Christian worker in the Methodist church and elsewhere. He greatly enjoyed attending the camp meetings and with his fine span of horaes and three-seated carriage many others were privileged to attend. He was not a timid Christian but let his light shine and his influence remains and will extend to future generations. One of his brothers, the late Rev. Theodore F. White, a distinguished Baptist minister, was pastor of many Maine churches. Among the number were Addison, Bath, Bar Harbor and Ellsworth."
