He succeeded his father as member of committee for control of common lands of Haverhill. His efficient leadership in Indian wars did much to prevent the savage outrages."

She retired from the Lawson Milk Company after 17 years service in the Pastry department. She was the first lady employee to ever retire from the Lawson Milk Company. She was born in Kent and lived 60 years in Cuyahoga Falls. She is survived by daughters, Mrs. Edith Gougler, of Akron, Mrs. Thelma Meadows, of Cuyahoga Falls, Mrs. Agnes Lorencz, of Santa Maria, Cal.; 7 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; brothers, Robert and Thomas Englehart, both of Kent; sister, Mrs. Mary Lansinger, also of Kent."
