[16939] Norman had a twin sister, Norma Alice Foster (b. 17 Jan 1934, d. 20 Jan 1934) Norman m. 21 April 1954 Barbara Nelson (b. 24 May 1934) and had Terrance Foster (24 Aug 1955) and Anne Marie Foster (2 May 1960). "Bangor Daily News [Bangor, ME], 1 February 2020": "Brewer - Norman A. Foster, 86, husband of the late Barbara A. (Nelson) Foster, passed away peacefully on January 22, 2020. He was born January 17, 1934, in Brewer, son of Ralph M. and Mattie L. (Frost) Foster. Norm graduated from Brewer High School in 1952. In 1954, he married Barbara, his high school sweetheart. They celebrated 62 years of marriage before her passing in 2016. The two first resided in Key West, FL, where Norm was stationed with the United States Navy as an Electrician. When his tour ended, they returned home to the Brewer area and welcomed their two children, Terrance and Ann. Norm had a gift for focusing on the bright side of life, and he was known for flashing his characteristic thumbs-up sign for anyone who needed it. He loved to chat and was always ready to lend an ear. Quite the handyman, Norm was always puttering. He took pride in caring for his home and his family. He delighted in following the milestones of his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, who he loved dearly. Norm was a dedicated technician and Union Member of the IBEW Local 2327 for New England Telephone and retired after 40 years of service. After retirement, he worked part-time for US Customs. In that role, his warm smile greeted many travelers visiting the state that he loved. Norm had his private pilot license, and he enjoyed many hours flying around the countryside and occasionally touching down on the surrounding lakes. In their later years, Norm and Barbara enjoyed day trips to the coast or wherever the car would take them. Norman is survived by his two children: his son, Terrance Foster, and wife, Katie, of North Carolina, and his daughter, Ann Szylvian, and husband, Frank, of Brewer. He is also survived by two sisters: Marlene Howard of Florida and Barbara Scott of New Hampshire. Norm was an adoring 'Gramps' to his four adult grandchildren: Matthew, Chadwick, Sally, and Pearl. He was also blessed with six great-grandchildren: Joseph, James, William, Ezra, Everett, and Asa. Norman was predeceased by his beloved wife, Barbara, his parents, and eleven of his siblings: Thelma, Flora, Dorothy, Lillian, Maxine, Isabelle, Arno, Eleanor, Ralph, Mary, and his twin, Norma."

[30927] Josiah's ancestry is from an unverified file in Ancestry.com in 2010. "Mayflower Families Through Five Generations Vol 18 Part 1 Third Edition," p. 34: The Will of Robert Barker Sr. of Duxborough dated 18 Feb 1689 names dau. Rebecca Snow. The inventory of the estate of Josiah Snow of Marshfield, carpenter, was presented by Rebecca Snow his widow 3 Jan 1692/3. the settlement of the estate of Josiah Snow of Marshfield on 3 Nov 1693 mentions that there are eight children, all daughters, and the widow (no names). Op. cit., p. 35 The estate of Rebecca Sawyer was administered on 22 June 1711 by Nathaniel Winslow and Joseph Waterman; she was called their 'mother-in-law.' On 20 June 1711 Gilbert Winslow, Samuel Baker and John Sprague signed receipts to the administrator of their late mother Rebecca Sawyer. On 5 Feb 1711/2 Abia Snow dau. of Josiah Snow of Marshfield chose William Carver of Marshfield as guardian. On 10 May 1712 Nathaniel Winslow and Lydia his wife, Gilbert Winslow and Mercy his wife, Samuel Baker and Sarah his wife, Joseph Waterman and Luseanna his wife, John Sprague and Bethiah his wife and William Carver as guardian of Abiah Snow divided land which formerly belonged to Anthony Snow. "Mayflower Deeds & Probates," Susan E. Roser, p. 450 gives deeds and probates for Josiah Snow and Rebeckah his wife (lists heirs). All birth/deaths of children can be found here. "Bethiah Snow, Wife of John Sprague: A New Mayflower Line," Claude W. Barlow, offers: Josiah Snow, birthdate unknown, died Marshfield, Mass., Aug. 1692, son of Anthony and Abigail (Warren) Snow and grandson of Richard Warren of the Mayflower, married about 1669 Rebecca Barker, birthdate unknown, died Marshfield 28 April 1711, daughter of Robert and Lucy (Williams) Barker of Duxbury. After the death of Josiah Snow she married (2) in Duxbury 23 --- 1694 John Sawyer, whose first wife Mercy Little was a granddaughter of Richard Warren. Eight children of Josiah (or Josias) and Rebecca (Barker) Snow may be found in Marshfield records, but two of them had died before their father; yet the administration on Josiah Snow (Plymouth County Probate, 1:189) says thate he left 'eight children all daughters.' Hence there must be two more girls to be accounted for. When Rebecca Sawyer died, her estate was administered (Plymouth County Probate, 3:64) by Nathaniel Winslow and Joseph Waterman, and she was called their 'mother-in-law.' There are receipts from Gilbert Winslow, who married Mercy Snow, and Samuel Baker (not Barker), who married Sarah Snow. There is also a reecipt from John Sprague of Duxbury, who had a wife Bethiah. Therefore, John Sprague's wife must also have been a daughter of Josiah Snow. The other daughter, probably Abiah Snow, is not important, as she apparently had no children." - from a file in Ancestry.com in 2010.
