Death was attributed to complications. Born at Middlecreek, August 20, 1882, Mr. Gross was the son of the late William and Margaret Wagner Gross. He was a member of the McClure Lutheran Church. Surviving are his wife, the former Naomi Kahley; one daughter, Mrs. Ulsh Herbster, McClure; five sons, Charles and William Stanley Gross, Beaver Springs, Carl Gross, Benfer, Marvin Gross, McClure, and Bob Gross, serving with the Army in Korea; a stepson, Leroy Wagner, Cleveland, Ohio; 17 grandchildren; and one brother, Lester Gross, Middleburg R. D. The funeral will be held at 2 p. m., Thursday, at the Aurand Funeral Home, Beavertown, in charge of Rev. C. E. Yost, pastor of the McClure Lutheran Church. Interment will be in the McClure cemetery."
