(1845), George H. (1847), Melvin C. (1850), Frederick F. (1851) and Albert Brewer (22 Nov 1853). Joanna is in the 1880 census in Castine, age 67, living in the home of Frederick and Emma Wardwell, according to http://www.one-barton-family.us/genealogy/viva/d2.html. A photograph in the Collections of the Maine Historical Society (#11500) is labeled in the "Discover Maine" magazine for 2008 (Vol. 5, Issue 8, pub. by CreMark, Inc., Portland, ME) "The daughters of Capt. Eliakim and Joanna G. Wardwell of Penobscot, taken in about 1900, are, from left, Frances J. Moore of San Francisco; Martha W. Googins of Bucksport; M. Ella Robbins of Worcester, Massachusetts; and Juliet S. Douglass of Castine. Their father, Eliakim Wardwell (12/30/1802 - 12/06/1864[sic]), was a ship captain. He owned the 'Saphronia" that was built near Castine."

[52] Michael came to Ohio in 1833 with wife and two children. Son Joseph wandered off picking acorns and was almost lost en route to Ohio. Michael purchased a large farm in Mohican Twp., present-day Ashland Co., OH. He and his family are listed there in the 1850 federal census. His marriage record indicates that he was then a resident of Mt. Joy, Lancaster Co., PA. Michael's grave marker states at death he was age 61y 3m 25d. Michael and Catharine are listed as "communicant members" 18 Nov 1849 in Trinity Lutheran Church, Jeromesville, Ashland Co., OH. A "Mrs. Josephine Heichel" communed at Trinity Lutheran Church, Jeromesville, OH 28 Feb 1858 - could this be his mother? - she is listed immediately following Rebecca Heichel [probably Joseph's wife?] in the communion list. [A Michael Heichel is in the 1830 census at Shrewsbury, York Co., PA, age between 30 and 40, with wife in same age bracket, with two sons under age 5 and a female in the household between age 60 and 70.] Ancestry.com offers: "Heichel Name Meaning - German: presumably from a pet form of the personal name Hugo (see Hugh), but also a variant of Heick and Heike."

Atwater at Limestone, Maine, where he had arrived the previous Saturday to visit his sons and daughter in that town, which had always been his home until he came to Conway about seven years ago and purchased the Elmwood farm on the West side. In his home town of Limestone, Maine, Mr. Noyes had been a successful business man, dealing in lumber and wood products at Noyes Mill after the death of his father. He also operated a large farm, and was president of the Limestone Trust Co. After several years he moved to the village where he conducted a starch factory and a feed and grain store previous to his coming to Conway where he has been extensively engaged in farming and dairying. . . . . Survivors include his wife, formerly Miss Ethel Long, to whom he was married in 1898, one daughter, Mrs. Dora Atwater, and five sons, Josiah, Gerald and Warren, all of Limestone, Linwood Noyes of Caribou, Me., and Philip Noyes of Conway."
