He married Catherine Kate Hollins on April 14, 1800, in Louisa, Virginia. They had 13 children during their marriage. He died in 1850 in Edmonson County, Kentucky, having lived a long life of 76 years." This line obviously requires correction and documentation.

She was born Nov. 29, 1905, the daughter of Judson and Mabel (Lufkin) Haskell. Charlotte and her late husband, Arthur C. Barter, were married for 69 years. They owned and operated together the M. D. Joyce Hardware Store. She was a past member of the Eastern Star. Charlotte is survived by a daughter, Donna B. Billings of Deer Isle; three grandchildren, Arthur J. Billings and his wife, Diane, Dana E. Billings and his wife, Bobbi, and Cyndi A. Billings; a special granddaughter, Patsy Murray; four great-grandchildren, Sara, Lori, Blake and Anne; many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a son-in-law, John J. Billings; four brothers, Raymond, Arthur, Thomas and James Haskell; four sisters, Georgia Gray, Rose Barbour, Aida Haskell and Marguerite Montenegro. A memorial service will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, April 27, 1996, at Island Nursing Home, Deer Isle, with Elder Winfield Billings officiating. Interment will be at Mt. Adams Cemetery, Deer Isle."

The unverified file KL95-1Q1 in familysearch.org offers: "When Robert Leach Jr. was born on 1 January 1650, in Manchester, Essex, Massachusetts Bay Colony, British Colonial America, his father, Robert Leach Sr., was 36 and his mother, Alice, was 37. He married Sarah in 1678, in Manchester-by-the-Sea, Essex, Massachusetts, United States. They were the parents of at least 1 son and 1 daughter. He died in November 1717, in his hometown, at the age of 67, and was buried in Manchester, Essex, Massachusetts Bay Colony, British Colonial America." - and offers this note: "He was a soldier in King Philip's War, Selectman in 1687,88,91,94,96,98,1700, 01,02,03,04, and 1705. He and his nephew, Samuel were on a committee chosen Dec 5, 1715 to look out for a minister to preach at Manchester. As the result of this action, Rev Ames Cheever, a grandson of the celebrated Ezekiel Cheever, was ordained Oct. 4, 1716. The Church was organized on Nov 7, of the same year. During his term as selectman in 1700 the town of Manchester was obtained from the Indians for L3 19s. (Salem Dec 18, 1700)."
