[43534] "The Akron Beacon Journal, 30 May 1997," p. 21: " Uniontown - Burdette J. 'Bud' Werstler, 81, passed away May 28, 1997. He was born in Uniontown, was a life resident of the area, and retired in 1981 from the Firestone Rubber Co. after 10 years service. Mr. Werstler was a member of Uniontown United Methodist Church, past Master of Loyalty Lodge 645 F&AM, and 32nd Degree Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite, Valley of Canton, and served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He was a member of Ellestar Chapter 565, O.E.S., was an avid golfer, and enjoyed boating and fishing. He is survived by his wife of 58 years of marriage, Arlene; son and daughter-in-law, Dean and Cheryl Werstler of Olmsted Falls; granddaughter, Hallie Werstler; grandson, Neal Werstler; sister and brother-in-law, Marie and Alfred Myers of Uniontown."
