[53170] "Bangor Daily News [Bangor, Maine]," 1 September 2021: "Hodgdon - Mary Rose Irish, 77, died August 30, 2021, in Houlton. She was born August 15, 1944, in Houlton the daughter of Milo and Madeline (McGary) Irish. Mary is survived by her seven sisters, Barbara Brewer, Sharon MacDonald, Deborah Burtt, Cindy Crandall, Peggy Cleary, Wanda Landry and Kelly Irish; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her sister, Pam Hannigan. Mary loved to spend time with her family and friends, especially if it involved a game of cards! She wore out the horn in more than one vehicle, as she would honk to every single person she knew, which turned out to be the majority of Houlton and surrounding towns. Mary would often be found sitting in the parking lot at Walmart, honking and yelling to everyone that walked by. She had a bag of treats in her backseat to hand out to any dogs she came across, as she was a true animal lover. Mary had a great sense of humor and enjoyed making people laugh, which she did often."
