[55293] "The Ellsworth American [Ellsworth, Maine]," 5 December 2023: "Bessie A. Snyder, 88, of Gouldsboro passed away Sunday, Dec. 3, 2023. Bessie was born in Milbridge on Aug. 3, 1935, to Mary (Beal) and Russell Pinkham. She was schooled at Milbridge Elementary School and eventually received her G.E.D from Sumner High School. After school, Bessie married Richard A. Snyder and together they had three children. She was a homemaker and spent time raising her children and helping out in her husbands fiberglass boat company, Reinforced Plastics Company. Her spare time was spent playing Bingo, which she loved, and going to the Casino. She also enjoyed many luncheons and events at the Seacoast Mission in Cherryfield, as well as being a regular at the Senior Group Seacoast Mission Game Day. Bessie was predeceased by her parents as well as her brothers and sisters. She is survived by her sons, Richard Snyder, Jr., and Wayne Snyder; daughter, Janet Hankins; granddaughter, Marilyn Leighton and husband, Scott; nieces, nephews, and cousins."
