Pittman, pastor, will conduct the services. Burial will be in Hartford cemetery. Mary Elizabeth Clawson was born October 27, 1873 In Ottumwa and lived her life in or near Hartford. She was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Asa Clawson. She married George Swarner, November 11, 1892 in Emporia. Mrs. Swarner was a member of the Presbyterian church. She had been in failing health for three years. Surviving in addition to his mother of Milbridge are his wife, Christine Strout of Milbridge; one son, James Strout of Milbridge; one daughter, Lisa Hopkins of Hermon; one brother. Herbert Strout of Milbridge; two sisters, Dorothy West of Steuben and Beatrice Robinson of Milbridge; one sister-in-law, Bertha Strout of Cherryfield; four grandchildren, several nieces and nephews."
