He was a member of Hayesville United Methodist Church, Hayesville-Vermillion Fire Department for 37 years, Ohio and international Chapter of Arson Investigator Association and an honorary member of Hayesville FFA. Jack also served four-year terms on the local school board and county school board and was also a Vermillion Township trustee from 1984 to 1993. He is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Edward and Melody McCrory of Ashland; two grandsons, Tyler (Brooke) McCrory and Issac McCrory; a great-granddaughter, Liliana McCrory; and a sister, Jannette Tucker of Marshallville. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Ellen Leidigh McCrory on Aug. 24, 2005; two sisters, Ruth Heffelfinger and Grace Felton; and a brother, Richard McCrory."
