He retired in 1985 and they returned to Jonesboro, Maine where they became active in town affairs and the Jonesboro Union Church. He was Church Treasurer for 20 years and served as chairman of the building committee for the Community Center. Vincent was a member of the Warren #2 Masonic Lodge in East Machias. The family thanks all the folks at Marshall Healthcare for their compassionate care of Vincent and Evelyn in their final years.
