[9253] "Lebanon Daily News [Lebanon, PA], 24 October 1967," pp. 1 & 13: "A Palmyra woman was injured in an accident in which another man was killed Monday in Dauphin County near Hummelstown Hill. Swatara Township Patrolman Harry E. Hnrgan reported that a car driven by Kenneth L. Billman, 55, Silver Spring Township, was traveling west on Paxton Street in Swatara Township. He reportedly overtook a car operated by N. H. Zerbe, Jr., 24, Harrisburg RD 1, which was stopped to make a turn. Billman reportedly swerved to avoid a collision with the Zerbe car and struck a dump truck operated by Frank George, 47, Harrisburg. Billman's car then glanced off the truck, struck the car operated by Zerbe, and then crossed the medial strip and collided with a car operated by Mrs. Cathryn S. Burianic, 46, 501 W. Maple St., Palmyra, according to the report. Police said the Billman vehicle then turned over on its side while the truck rolled down a 25-foot embankment and landed on its side. Billman was pronounced dead at the scene by Dr. Thomas Fritchey, Dauphin County coroner. Mrs. Burianic was taken to Harrisburg Hospital, where she was treated for minor bruises. George was also treated at the hospital. Both were discharged. Neither Zerve nor a passenger in his car, Donald W. Humble, 24, Harrisburg RD 1, was injured. The Billman car was listed as demolished. No figures were available on the extent of damage to the other three vehicles."
