Burial will be in Crown Hill cemetery, Twinsburg. Mr. Witwer, retured in 1952 after 32 years as superintendent of maintenance with Akron Board of Education, died Monday after a long illness. Born in Jackson Township, Stark County, he lived in Stow 26 years. He was a 53-year member of Masons, Henry Perkins Lodge No. 611, F&AM, Tadmore Temple, Scottish Rite, Valley of Akron, Royal Arch Mason Washington Chapter No. 25, Royal and Select Masters Akron Council No. 80 and a member of High Street Christian Church. Mr. Witwer leaves his wife, Cora M.; sons, Frank, Cleveland, Larry, Stow; daughter Mrs. Lois Rook, Monroe Falls; three grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; brothers, Ralph, Akron, Delbert, Cleveland; sister Mrs. Delia Greenhorn, Stow."
