The seat of the Counts of Maine was LeMans (76 miles by road today southwest of Chartres in Sarthe département, Pays de la Loire région, northwestern France, roughly midway between Rennes and Orléans, where the Sarthe and Huisne rivers meet).

[31456] Simeon's information is from the unverified Scott Family Tree in Ancestry.com in 2011 which states he m. (1) in 1868 in Randolph Co., WV Christeny E. Nana and (2) 15 Dec 1870 in Watson, KS Margaret A. Davidson (1851-1916). "The Topeka State Journal, 21 September 1911," p. 6: "After forty years of married life, Margaret A. Hedrick brought suit in the district court today asking for a divorce from Simeon C. Hedrick. a wealthy Shawnee county farmer. The Hedricks were married Dec. 15. 1871. For years Mrs. Hedrick helped her husband accumulate a fortune. Then, according to the petition, the husband became stingy and parsimonious and refused to provide for his companion's needs. Mrs. Hedrick is now quite old. She says she tried to endure Hedrick's treatment, but his close hold on the family bank account turned to cruel treatment. Now Mrs. Hedrick seeks a divorce and a division of the estate. According to statements in the woman's petition, Hedrick's treatment of the last few years has not been kind and loving. He has shown no desire to reward his wife for her years of labor and saving that the aged couple might some day have a quiet, comfortable home and take life easy. Instead, Hedrick has nagged and abused his companion and it is alleged that on one occasion he threatened to kill her. The Hedrick's are the parents of six children. All have reached maturity. Hedrick and his wife live on the farm that represents their life savings. The farm is well stocked and in the hour of trouble Mrs. Hedrick does not overlook the fact that she helped to earn the fortune. Now she wants her share of the profits. In her petition she asks for $150 for support pending the trial of the case. She asks for attorney's fees and an order from the court restraining Hedrick from interfering with her peace and quiet while the action is pending. The Hedrick family is among the old settlers in this countyand are ranked among the well to do families in the community in which they live. Hedrick is known among his neighbors as a thrifty farmer with a natural ability to accumulate much of the world's goods. Not in months has a suit for divorce been filed in Shawnee countv wherein the parties to the action have been married aa long as have Hedrick and his wife."

Find A Grave memorial 168954349 offers:
On 1 September 1751, a notice was published in the "Pennsylvanische Geschicts-Schreiber" by Johann Peter "Saeyler" stating that he : (1) lived near Falckner Swamp [then in Chester County]; (2) had been in the country for 24 years [placing his immigration in about 1727]; and (3) was looking for his brother Felix, who'd come from Ruchheim in 1749. Indeed, the 1st Edition of Filby's Passenger and Immigration Lists includes an oath of allegiance taken in 1749 in Pennsylvania by Felix Seiler. Seiler is the original German spelling of Seyler, Sailor, Sayler, Saylor, etc.
In 1768, Phillip Seiler, age 14, son of Peter Seiler, was confirmed in the East Vincent Reformed Congregation of Chester County. An extract to that effect was published in "Early Church Records of Chester County, PA," Vol. 2, at p. 69.
In 1779, both Peter Saylor and Philip Saylor were included on the tax rolls for Pikeland Township of Chester County.
Finally, Peter Seyler of West Nantmeal Township, Chester County, wrote his will on 26 November 1792. In it, he gave 1 pound to his daughter Katrine Binns, 1 shilling to his son Peter, and the remainder of his estate to his son John. The will was probated on 29 July 1793.
A total of just 34.4 miles separates the two most distant points in Peter's 40-year migration from Falkner Swamp to West Nantmeal.
