[2385] William was Duke of Aquitaine and Count of Poitou and Avergne. Dr. Erick Brandenburg, "Die Nachkommen Karls des Grossen" (1935), p. 66 is cited by a correspondent as source of birth-year 925 for William and death date 3 April 963, and for approximate death date for his wife, "Gerloc (Adele)", 14 Oct 962. "Ancestral Roots..." (Balt., 1992) 110-23 states that William II is son of William I of Poitou. Cf. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dukes_of_Aquitaine_family_tree. During the Revolutionary War, Johannes served from 1778 to 1783 as a private in Captain Philip Gibb's Company, Daniel Heister's regiment of the Philadelphia County militia. Johannes and Bernhardina came to Perry County from Falckner Swamp Reformed congregation near Gilbertsville and New Hanover, Pa. They migrated from Montgomery County to Donally Mills and later to [the vicinity of] Loysville in Perry County where they engaged in farming. Bernhardina died December 28, 1813 and Johannes died April 29, 1825; both were buried at the Old Town Cemetery in Loysville, PA. All of the six sons and seven daughters of John and Bandena married and raised families."
