[4580] Jacob is not definitely known to be a child of Isaac and Elizabeth, and does not appear in any other list except in the baptismal register of Hoffman (or Hope Memorial) Lutheran Church near Smithton, South Huntington Twp., Westmoreland Co., PA, where he was baptised 16 Oct 1814. Isaac and Elizabeth had two other children baptised here. Did Jacob die before they moved to Ohio? Email 28 April 2004: "I read your site, and may have corresponded with you before about Jacob Pollin Paullin, b. 1814 PA. In checking through my information I believe he married Hannah Graves and they moved to Louisa Co., IA in 1856. If you are interested in adding it to your tree, I would be happy to share what I have, or you can check the 1856 Louisa Co., IA census records. On the re-copy someone put Jason as the youngest girl, but on earlier records it appeared to me to be Jasmine. I only found Jacob on that census, as only his family was listed on the 1860 census. I presume he may have died, even though he was quite young. A Graves descendant, Bettijane Larson (bjl@bigsky.net)."

His position was undoubtedly that of Assistant Sergeant of the Queen's Carriages, with his cousin, John Ownstead, as Sergeant." He m. Olive, dau. and heir of John Harman; most of their children are on the parish register of Gatton and Sanderstead. "When in the country, they resided at Court Farm and here one night when roads were specially bad and the Queen returning from one of her trips, she spent the night at Court Farm. The Greshams held the court itself but were Catholic, so Elizabeth preferred to stop with Nicholas."
