[45629] "The Marysville Advocate [Marysville, Kansas], 28 November 1974," p. 9: "Mrs. Rollie Bartlow, 94, Waterville, who headed five generations of her family, died November 21, 1974 at Community Memorial hospital, Marysville. Born Alma Caroline Anderson in Sweden October 31, 1880, she emigrated to America with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Eric Anderson in 1885, locating in Alexandria, Ne., and later moved to Marysville. In 1893 they moved to a farm northwest of Waterville. She was married April 19, 1899 to Rollie D. Bartlow and they were parents of four children. During her early married life she was a member of the Christian church, in Waterville, now know as Heisey hall. After the church became inactive she joined the Waterville Methodist church. She had also been a member of the Rebekah Lodge for over 50 years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Rollie, her son Walter, a daughter Nadine, her parents, a sister Hannah and a brother William. Survivors are her daughters, Mildred, Mrs. Clarence Rice, Beaumont, Ca., and Vera, Mrs. George Henderson, Waterville; her brother Simon Anderson; two granddaughters, five greatgrandchildren; four great-great grandchildren, a nephew and cousins. . . . Burial was in Riverside cemetery at Waterville with arrangements by Youngbergs." See notes for husband, Rolley.

She was predeceased by her parents, George W. and Flora Belle Dunham, her husband, Frank Gray, brothers Leroy, Alton, George, Roger, and Kenneth, sisters Vola and Margaret, her grandson Russel L. Woods II and granddaughter Jennifer L. Withee, and father of her children Carl W. Stanley Sr. Linnie spent many years working as a nurse and volunteering for Meals on Wheels. She is survived by her children Nancy, Max and Benji Bickford, William and Delores Stanley, George Andrew Stanley, Pamela and Clifford Frost, Cynthia Murch and partner Walter Knight, Carl W. Stanley and Tom McCann, eight grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandson and good friend Louise."
