In 1229 and 1230 he had letters of protection on going with the King on foreign service, and on 14 Apr 1253 he and his heirs had a grant of free warren in all their demesne lands in co.s Norfolk, Suffolk, Lincoln, and Cambridge. He died in or before 10 Jul 1257. Joan de Hobrugge, his second wife, died on or before 7 Sep 1297." Find A Grave memorial 89277172 reports: "Morrill Hobbs came from Waterborough early, and settled where his grandson Reuben Hobbs, now lives [1877], on the 'Hobbs Hill,' and cleared a large farm. He married Miriam Brackett, and had issue, ten children, of whom hereafter. Mr Hobbs died Oct. 20, 1826, aged 70 years. His widow died April 18, 1836, aged 78 years. They were buried in the F.W. Baptist Cemetery. Children not already linked below [i.e., burial unknown] include . . . Reuben Hobbs, born in Waterboro; married in the East, and died somewhere in the British Provinces. . . . Miriam B. Hobbs, born (probably) in Harrison, and married Robert Sanborn. . . . Polly Hobbs, married Samuel Dike. . . . Peggy began working for the Sheriff's department in 1945 and spent 33 years in the Blythe office until her retirement in 1978. She continued to manage her farm business in Blythe and her seasonal R.V. Park in Quartzsite, Ariz. until her death. She was a member of the First Southern Baptist Church of Blythe. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, James W. and Mary Ann Martin of Huntington Beach, Calif.; a grandson, Ryan J. Martin of Chicago, Ill.; a granddaughter, Rachel A.
