The LDS Church's unverified Ancestral File gives her parents as Thomas Box, b. ca. 1641 and of Calvert Co., MD, and wife Jane _____. "The Boydstun Family," Gustine Courson Weaver (Cincinnati, OH: Powell & White, 1927), p. 31: "Sir Ralph Box was knighted Oct. 25, 1689. He had two children, Mahulda born 1702 and John who married Lydia Story, the daughter of Elisha Story. Mahulda married Thomas Boyd's son - John Box came from England and settled at Charlestown, Mass. (now Boston) where he married Lydia Story, born March 26, 1718-19 - and was a daughter of Elisha Story who lived where Paul Revere's house subsequently was built, near the old South Church of Boston. ...Thomas Boyd's son began spelling the name Boydson - This descendant was the first of the family who came to America being the son or grandson of Cornelius. The name was hence often spelled Borlstone as well as Boydstone with many variations throughout the different generations."

[1774] See http://es.wikipedia.org/wiki/Raimundo_de_Borgoña. Raymond was made governor of Galicia and Portugal, and in 1094 was defeated by the Almoravid Arabs and lost Lisbon. He fought hard for the Leonese empire. His brother, Henry, married Urraca's sister, Teresa, and was granted the county of Portugal according to "A Traveller's History of Spain," Juan Lalaguna (New York: Interlink Books, 1990), p. 45 - which contradicts the parents given here for one of the two brothers. [3130] Hubert was Regent and obtained the honour of Kent in 1227. See The Peerage, Vol. VII, pp. 133-142 - see note a on p. 133 regarding parentage. Cf. http://fmg.ac/Projects/MedLands which offers: "Hubert de Burgh (-Banstead, Surrey 12 May 1243, bur London, Church of the Black Friars). He was appointed Chamberlain to John Comte de Mortain (the future John King of England) in or before 1198, holding the office until 1205 except for a brief interlude after the return of King Richard I and before the latter's death. He was seriously wounded at the siege of castle of Chinon in Normandy in 1205, which may account for the loss of his public offices and his temporary disappearance from the records. He remained a powerful supporter of King John, siding with the king against the barons at the signing of Magna Carta in 1215. He successfully defended Dover Castle against Louis de France who had invaded England in 1216, and was a party to the treaty of peace made with Louis 11 Sep 1217 before he left England. Hubert became the most powerful official in England during the minority of King Henry III and was created Earl of Kent 19 Feb 1227 immediately after the king came of age. His downfall came in 1232, when he was deprived of his Earldom and imprisoned in the Tower. He was pardoned and restored in 1234, but thereafter took little part in public life. [43255] Albert is son of Eli Leffler and Mahala Bright. Find A Grave Memorial 181507330 offers: "Mr. Leffler was born near Dayton, Ohio, February 7, 1862. He was reared in the Buckeye state and when about 25 years old he came to Missouri and engaged in the planing mill business with the Davis Brothers at Tina. When the business was moved to Carrollton, he came also and remained a member of the firm until the early nineties, when he sold out. Being a pattern maker by trade he secured a responsible position with the Dain Manufacturing Co., remaining with this firm several months. He then went to St. Louis, and from there to Panama, where he stayed three years. He returned to Carrollton three years ago. March 14, 1894, he was married to Miss Mina Farnham. Of this union one son, John was born. He was drowned in June 1915. While in Panama Mr. Leffler contracted the disease that eventually caused his death. After coming home he gradually showed the ravages of the disease, and a year ago, in an attempt to stay its progress he began living and sleeping in a tent, believing the fresh air would do for him what medical science could not do. But this proved unavailing. Every week showed a steady decline. Two weeks ago he became very low, but, as frequently before, he rallied somewhat, but it proved only temporary, and Monday night at 11:20 o'clock he quietly passed away. Mr. Leffler was baptized into the Lutheran church in child-hood, and held to this church in late years. He suffered long, but was cheerful and patient throughout. He was an honorable citizen, friendly to all and leaves a large circle of friends to mourn his untimely end. - The 'Carrollton Daily Democrat;' Tuesday, October 24, 1916" The Leffler surname is German, an occupational name for a maker or seller of spoons, a variant of Loeffler.
