In 2011 http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bernard_I_de_Balliol offers: "Bernard I de Balliol (died 1154 x 1162), the second known ruling Balliol of his line, was a twelfth-century Anglo-Picard baron based for much of his time in the north of England, as well as at Bailleul-en-Vimeu close to Abbeville in northern France. He was the nephew and next known successor of Guy I de Balliol, the first Balliol in England. Bernard had succeeded to the lordships of his uncle by 1130 × 1133; during The Anarchy, perhaps in 1135, he appears to have sworn homage to David I, King of the Scots, who had taken over much of northern England in the name of his niece, Matilda, and in the name of his son, Henry, heir and claimant to the earldom of Northumbria. During David's campaign in 1138, and before the Battle of the Standard, Bernard and Robert I de Brus were sent to try to negotiate with David; after failing, Balliol allegedly renounced his homage to King David. Although Balliol and his cause were successful in that battle, Bernard experienced defeat three years later fighting alongside King Stephen at the Battle of Lincoln (1141). In the years following Balliol continued to suffer as his lands were repeatedly attacked by the Scots, and the Scottish-backed William Comyn, who was installed as Bishop of Durham between 1141 and 1144.
Bernard appears to have founded the new settlement and Castle of Barnard in County Durham, named after him; despite being named after him, however, the earliest Norman ring work there appears to predate 1130. Bernard had at least four younger brothers, Radulf (Ralph), Enguerrand (Ingram), Hugh, and Joscelin, and by his wife Maud (Matilda) fathered four sons, Enguerrand (Ingram), Guy, Eustace and Bernard, and one daughter, Hawise; Enguerrand predeceased him, and he was succeeded by Guy."
Find A Grave offers:Son of James Kirkpatrick and Martha McElhenny
Married Ruth Wier, 5 Apr 1791
Children - James Kirkpatrick, Abraham Kirkpatrick, George Washington Kirkpatrick, Jane Kirkpatrick, Ruth Kirkpatrick, Mary Kirkpatrick, Samuel Kirkpatrick, Benjamin Kirkpatrick
History - Samuel Kirkpatrick was born January 8, 1767, in Newton Township, Cumberland County, Pennsylvania. His father was James Kirkpatrick and his mother was Martha McElhenny, the second wife of James Kirkpatrick.
Samuel became an orphan after the death of his father in 1778, and he asked the courts to reappoint a guardian other than his mother, Martha Kirkpatrick, who wanted to indenture him at that time. The courts allowed James McKee of Lurgan Township to be his guardian until young Samuel reached his majority.
The Big Spring Presbyterian Church organized in 1737 was the church where the Kirkpatrick, McElhenny, and Weir families all worshiped. On April 5, 1791, Samuel was united in marriage to Ruth Weir in Middle Spring, Pennsylvania. Records from the Middle Spring Presbyterian Church indicate the service was held at another location other than the church. Speculation is that the service may have been held in the home of Ruth's Father, Abraham Weir of Lurgan Township, Franklin County, Pennsylvania. (Will Book B for 1816, Case 3944.)
Samuel and family along with Samuel's brother, Benjamin and his family all migrated and settled on farmland north of Chillicothe, Ohio around 1798. Samuel at his death on November 11, 1826, owned farms and lots in and near Chillicothe, Ross County, Ohio.
The record office in Chillicothe, Ross County, Ohio, VMS Survey Book, page 80, "We find Samuel and Benjamin Kirkpatrick chain carriers in a survey for Duncan McArthur." The survey for 300 acres of land, part of military warrant number 4993 on the waters of Deer Creek in the year 1803, was a survey number 4109. Samuel and Benjamin and all their families may have been living on this land at the time and intended to buy it.
Samuel and Ruth Weir Kirkpatrick were the parents of eight children: James, Abraham, George Washington, Jane, Ruth (Patsy), Samuel, Benjamin, and Polly.
Samuel and Ruth Kirkpatrick are resting alongside one another on the Kirkpatrick family farm in Ross County, Ohio. The graves of Ruth and Samuel are unmarked.

[28750] http://fmg.ac/Projects/MedLands/POLAND.htm#WladislawIIdied1434 reports she is "daughter of Ivan III Vasilievich Grand Prince of Moscow & his second wife Zoe Palaiologina (19 May 1476-20 Jan 1513). Her marriage was arranged to seal the peace between her father and her future husband, following his attack on Mozhaisk. The arrangement included her right to retain the Orthodox faith. Reports of her husband pressurising her to accept Catholicism constituted one of the reasons for the renewal of hostilities between Moscow and Lithuania in 1500. She was imprisoned by the Lithuanian government in 1512 and soon died in prison, which gave her brother Vasily III the pretext for launching another military attack on Lithuania."
