[59115] Jacklin's obituary: "Addison - Jacklin Sandra (Norton) Emerson, 83, passed away April 27, 2023, following a long illness. She was born January 19, 1940, in Calais, the daughter of the late Carlton and Verna (Day) Norton. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and sister. She was a teacher in Millinocket and Addison schools for many years. She was a faithful member of the Community of Christ Church in Jonesport, where she was very involved and active in many church events. Jackie was a friend to many, a caring person, and always eager to help anyone in need. She is survived by a daughter, Linda Faas and her husband, Ricky; a son, Roy Emerson; one child she took into her home and loved and cared for as her own, Steven Emerson; a sister, Betty Peabody; grandchildren - Edward, Connie, Trussel, Dennis Lee, and Jacklin Mae; great-grandchildren, Cadence, Silas, Elliana, and Lucian; many nieces, nephews, and cousins. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Earnest; a grandson, Calvin Snider; a sister, Glennis Emerson and husband, Maxwell, and a brother, Nathan 'Buzz' Norton and wife, Ann. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Michelle Cowperthwaite and family for welcoming her into their home and family, and for the love and excellent care they gave her at Pure Hearts Adult Home Care."
