To this union were born 14 children, seven having preceeded her to the better world. Of the seven remaining, three reside in this vicinity, Mrs. Scott Hunt, Jackson and Uriah Smith. She was Christened in the Lutheran church in infancy and endeavored to bring her children up in that faith. Teaching them in infancy to lisp the name of Christ in Prayer. She was a great sufferer, for years being unable to walk. Services were held at the U. B. Church Monday after noon Feb. 13, and interment in the Meriden Cemetery."

Bert was liked by everyone who met him, was a hard worker and loving father. Burt worked for Great Northern Paper Company until he moved his family to Mississippi to work for Weyerhaeuser Paper Company. Bert return to Maine and went to work for his close friend Bud Prouty at Prouty Ford where they all became his second family. Bert worked at Prouty Ford until his retirement. Bert was born July 15, 1950 the son of Eldbridge W. and Kathleen (Stubbs) Perkins of Brownville.
Bert is survived by his wife Dianne Perkins of Milo, his son Jason Perkins and wife Angel of Milo and daughter Amy Perkins of Orneville. Also grandson Cody Johndro and girlfriend Raven Hayslip-Perro of Orneville and grandson Lee Perkins of Orneville. Also a great-grandson Daniel Johndro. Bert is also survived by his sister Dorothy Gray and husband Alfred of Brownville and a brother-in-law Louis Brown of Brownville. Bert is predeceased by his sister Louise Brown. Bert is also survived by many nieces and nephews."
