[54497] "Bangor Daily News [Bangor, Maine]," 9 August 2023: "Sedgwick - Bernice Eaton Astbury, 94, passed away peacefully on Aug. 5, 2023, at her home in Sedgwick. Bernice was born June 1, 1929, at Blue Hill Memorial Hospital to Vivian and Charles Eaton of Blue Hill Falls. She worked for many summer residents who were very dear to her. She worked in the sardine factory in Stonington. She also worked for Blue Hill Memorial Hospital for 12 years. She then worked in the bakery at Largays IGA for three years before moving on to Merrill & Hinckley where she worked in the bakery for 25 years before retiring at the age of 80. She is also well known for the hundreds of mittens she knitted for children and family each year. She also crocheted afghans for all her children and families. She also did seasonal work making wreaths and raking blueberries with her husband. She is survived by daughter Ree Hamilton and husband David of Sedgwick; daughter Margaret Fowler and fiancé Ralph Proctor of Brooksville; son Alden Astbury and wife Wanda of Sedgwick; son Scott Astbury and wife Tammy of Sedgwick; grandchildren Jeffrey Hamilton and wife Carrie, Tracie Hamilton, Mark Fowler and wife Rachel, Jeremy Fowler and wife Erin, Lois Fowler Beaupain and husband Jeremy, Daryl Astbury and wife Stacy, Dustin Astbury and wife Paige, and Kirby Astbury; 13 great-grandchildren; and four great-great grandchildren. She is also survived by sister Cressida Keefe, sisters-in-law Betty Gray and Carol Eaton, plus many nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her husband of 63 years, Tracy O. Astbury, her parents Vivian and Charles Eaton, sister Lorraine Turner and brother Charles Eaton, many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews."

[45348] Andy's obituary: "Andy D. Yoder, 83, of Barberton, and formerly a long time resident of Mount Eaton, died Friday July 12, 2019 at Summa Barberton Hospital following a brief illness. He was born September 28, 1935 at Becks Mills, Holmes County, to the late Dan J. and Susie (Wengerd) Yoder and married Fannie D. Yoder on November 16, 1957. She survives. Andy retired from Volvo White Trucking Company in 2000 and also served on the Mt. Eaton Fire Department. He enjoyed traveling, woodworking, fishing and hunting, and enjoyed playing cards and yearly vacations with his family to Rice Lake. He was a life member of Lenape Trail Sportsman's Club of Mt. Eaton and was a member of Mt. Eaton Community Church. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his son Roger (Kim) Yoder and daughter, Lori (Rick) Harig; four grandchildren, Nathan Stone, Aaron Yoder, Adam Yoder, and Johana Yoder; two great grandchildren, Carlee Yoder and Dana Silva Yoder; sister, Edna and brothers, Jonathon, Dan, and Raymond. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Ammon and Dave."
