Higgins, 90, passed away peacefully March 30, 2018, under the loving care of her son Gary, and his wife, Nikki, with her family by her side. She was born August 11, 1927, in Brownville Junction, the daughter of Gilbert and Hazel (Patterson) Little. Vera dedicated her life to her family and the family business, Higgins Electric Motor Service, started with her husband, Merle 'Bud' Higgins. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by two sisters, and a brother. Surviving are her husband of 70 years, Bud Higgins; sons, Gary Higgins and wife, Nikki of Bangor, Greg Higgins and Sherry Molcan of Hampden; and a daughter, Sandra Mayhew and husband, Craig of Newburgh; 7 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren."
